never in the mood. always seeking something.

She entered her room and threw herself on the bed, and even though it was still pretty early, all she wanted to do was sleep. She was feeling exhausted even if she hadn’t really done anything that day. She always needed some background noise to fall asleep so she turned on the TV and tried to find something nice to tire up her eyes a little. After going through all the channels really fast she stopped on a movie she had seen before. She fluffed up her pillow a bit and started lazily following the images on the screen. It wasn’t a good movie, but it made her feel good. The day was just getting darker and because she didn’t have any curtains on her windows, the light looked rather odd.But she liked that, she liked falling asleep when there was still light outside. As the minutes passes, she began dozing off. It was the best sensation she could have hoped for at that time. That perfect state when she could start the dream the way she wanted to.

Before falling asleep, she always had these incredible fantasies about her life and how she’d like everything to be. Something sweet just before the darkness.

"You relax.
You pretend to have fun.
You share a toast with me:
here’s to seasonal
madness, part-time
relatives and
substitutes for love." — Ellen Hopkins, “Crank” (via slategraysmiles)

she was running as fast as she could. she was running away from everything bad, from the monsters she so much feared. but she never quite got away. now the monsters were hunting her every night, in her dreams. they had knives in their hands. knives so sharp. sometimes, when they caught up with her, they’d pin her down and cut her mouth. always on the middle of her lips. and her mouth was full of blood. but then she’s wake up, still tasting the awful and yet so sweet blood. and she’d light up a cigarette to wash it all away.

“Where are you going?”

“I just want to wonder around for a while. Don’t wait up.”
